§ 01 — Who we are.
Kentuckiana Land Co. ("KLC," "we," "us," "our") is an owner-operated land-buying business based in Borden, Indiana. We buy land directly from owners in Indiana and eleven Kentucky counties. This policy covers the personal information we collect when you visit our website, contact us by phone, text, or email, or submit an offer request.

§ 02 — What we collect.
We only collect information that helps us talk with you and put an offer together. Specifically:
- Contact information — your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address if you provide them.
- Property information — the address, county, parcel ID, acreage, or other details you share about the land.
- Situation details — things you tell us about heirs, taxes, liens, probate status, access, or other context needed to prepare an offer.
- Website usage — basic aggregated analytics: pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, browser, and device type. Not tied to your identity.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank account details, or financial information through this website.
§ 03 — How we use it.
- Prepare and deliver an offer on your land.
- Communicate with you by phone, text, or email about your property.
- Coordinate closing with the title company, your attorney, or your heirs.
- Improve the site based on aggregate analytics.
We do not use your information to send marketing emails. If we ever offer a newsletter, opt-in will be optional and opt-out will be one click.
§ 04 — Who we share with.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with parties needed to close your deal:
- Title companies and closing attorneys handling your closing.
- Your own attorney, executor, or representatives at your direction.
- Service providers bound by contract to protect your information (phone, email hosting, website hosting, document storage).
- Government or legal requests if required by law — we'll notify you if allowed to.
§ 05 — Cookies & analytics.
- Essential cookies — for basic site function.
- Analytics cookies — aggregated page-view data via Google Analytics with anonymized IP addresses.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies without breaking the site.
§ 06 — How long we keep it.
Records related to an offer or closing are kept for as long as reasonably necessary — typically seven years. Form submissions that don't lead to a transaction are deleted on a regular schedule. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults (typically 14 months, aggregated).
§ 07 — Your rights.
At any time, you can ask us to show you what we have, correct inaccuracies, delete your information, or opt out of communications. Email [email protected]. State-specific rights (CA, VA, CO, etc.) apply as required by law.
§ 08 — Security.
We use encrypted transport, access controls, and limited internal access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as required by law.
§ 09 — Children.
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Email us if you believe a child has submitted information — we'll delete it.
§ 10 — Changes & how to reach us.
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the effective date above.
